WORKSHOP - OPEN DOOR MATH

The workshop on OPEN DOOR MATH was conducted by Mr Abhishek Kariwal through the platform of Zoom on January 12, 2023 which helped the teachers delve deeper into logical thinking.   

The workshop aimed at enhancing the thinking and analytical skills of students.  The resource person shared various problems and the teachers looked at the different ways of arriving at a solution. The mathematics concepts are used in real life problem solving and the workshop showcased examples where the math concepts were applied to solve the problem even when the parameters or specifications were unknown. 

Towards the end, the workshop provided an insight into the “Think Workbooks” (Resource book) and its content for classes V upwards. The questions of the workbook gives the opportunity to the students to think over the concept in the beginning of a chapter, apply the concept to solve problems and later develop the higher order thinking skills to apply the concepts to challenging problems.

Overall, it was an enriching experience to attend the session.
