WORKSHOP - INTEGRATED LEARNING FOR G D GOENKA GROUP TEACHERS

“Learning is a Continuous Process”

Today's careers look nothing like they did twenty or even just ten years ago. Like technology, the field of education evolves so fast that techniques, skills, creativity and technologies become obsolete within five to ten years. That is why being a lifelong learner plays an important role in a teacher’s life. It helps them incorporate new tools and strategies into the learning process to boost their students' learning development as they only act as a role model for students. Keeping the importance of 21st Century Skills in mind, a virtual orientation workshop on integrated learning was conducted by G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj for G D Goenka Group Teachers. It was a three consecutive Saturdays workshop. The curtain was unveiled on 16th January by Ms. Bharti Sharma followed by the introduction to the new pedagogy by Ms. Meenakshi Bhakuni; the Principal of G D Goenka, Vasant Kunj.

We at GDGPS have always been ahead. Where the educational process ends, there the creativity begins. We have always believed in reaching the students through an integrated learning approach. Integrated learning approach discourages rote learning, a link that connects life in the school with the life outside school and an application that develops higher level thinking skills.

The second session was held on 23rd January which honed the current skills of the different subject teachers and developed the new ones related to integrated approach while enriching their mind. The workshop was concluded on 30th January with the effective lesson planning for integrated learning and evaluation and assessment practices for constructive learning by Ms. Ruchi Kathpalia. The workshop helped good teachers become great teachers by going beyond the call of duty and textbook.
