WORKSHOP-CAPACITY BUILDING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
(JUNE 25 TO 27, 2025)
The importance of teachers in driving educational reforms has been acknowledged in numerous policy documents, as well as by various educational commissions. Teacher training plays a vital role at GDGPS Sector-48, focusing on enhancing teaching skills, subject expertise, and pedagogical strategies necessary for effective student education. In line with this goal, teachers participated in a three-day workshop from June 25th to June 27th, 2025 at GD Goenka University, Sohna Gurugram.
The first day of the session was on 21st Century skills. The speaker Ms Chandeep Marwah highlighted the ways to make learning visible and to look at varied options. The teachers enhance their learning about developing various skills among students.
The second day was a brainstorming session on ‘Multiple Intelligence’ by Ms Rajni Johri held to explore Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, which identifies different ways in which individuals excel in learning and problem-solving.The session covered various intelligence types such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. The workshop aimed to equip them with strategies to create more inclusive and effective learning environments.
The third day was an informative session on the topic ‘Project Based learning ’. The resource person Ms Rupam Saha focused on equipping educators with the tools to nurture critical competencies needed for success in today’s rapidly evolving world. The session emphasized the importance of fostering adaptability and global awareness, ensuring that students are well-prepared for both academic and real-world challenges.
The interactive and enriching workshop was a food for thought for the teachers of G D Goenka Schools across the nation. All the participants were filled with a new zeal to implement their learning.
