WORKSHOP - ACER INTERNATIONAL BENCHMARK TEST

An extensive professional training workshop was conducted on October 28, 2023 by ACER; Australian Council for Educational Research for the Math and English Department of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurgaon. The workshop gave an overview on the working of the ACER IBT. The purpose of the workshop was to acquaint the Teachers with the systemic way of conducting the assessment and generating the report of the students. The session was conducted by the ACER Team member– Ms. Aditi Malviya.

The International Benchmark Tests (IBT) is an internationally administered programme of assessments designed to compare student performance globally, between grades and over time. The tests cover English and Mathematics for students in grades 3-10. The workshop acquainted the teachers about the difference between Item and Question and to define criteria response of the students. ACER assessment result was discussed. Weakness and strength of the students were analyzed through the strand report. The queries of the teachers were also handled by the resource person. The session was also addressed by the Middle Wing Headmistress - Ms. Shalini Tandon emphasizing on the ways to improve the performance of the student in order to maintain the International Benchmark. The Session was very enriching and informative.
