WELCOME ASSEMBLY-JUNIOR WING

(APRIL 05, 2024)

The start of something new brings the hope of something great.”

The commencement of a new academic session brings the promise of fresh opportunities and remarkable achievements. At GDGPS, Sector 48, a high-quality morning assembly holds paramount significance within our curriculum. These assemblies serve as pivotal moments in cultivating a positive and reflective school ethos, while also reinforcing our value-based education.

With the theme of 'Mindfulness and Sustainability' at its core, teachers meticulously planned and executed the model assembly. This assembly not only introduced our young learners to the standard format of a Goenkan assembly but also ignited within them a sense of inspiration and focus as they embark on this new journey.

The assembly commenced with the serenity of the Morning Prayer, setting a tone of positivity and introspection. The rendition of our School Anthem further instilled a sense of pride and unity among the students. This was followed by uplifting positive affirmations, a thought-provoking 'Thought of the Day', and an informative segment featuring news headlines.

The highlight of the assembly was a captivating skit performed by the teachers, highlighting the crucial message of 'Say No to Plastic'. The young learners were enthralled as they witnessed their teachers take the stage, effectively showcasing the essence and composition of a Goenkan Assembly.

As the assembly drew to a close, School Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Handa, and Headmistress, Ms. Harmeet Kaur, addressed the students. Their words of wisdom and encouragement resonated with the students, inspiring them to approach the new session with renewed determination.

In essence, the Welcome Assembly at the Junior Wing not only marked the beginning of a new academic journey but also underscored the importance of mindfulness, sustainability, and collective responsibility within our school community.
