WEBINAR FOR LIBRARIANS BY CBSE; 100 DAYS READING MISSION

Joy of reading is the basic aim of the Reading mission hosted by Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Academics), CBSE. According to him, children should be provided with the easy reading material. They should have access to wide range of topics and also given the liberty to choose their own topics. Get learners to read a large volume of books. Reading should be pleasure & should not be the purpose of studying. Reading should be done individually it is important to maintain silence while reading. Children should be provided due support from the librarians. Librarians are the role models who guide & orient their students.

The resource persons f the webinar were Ms. Aparna Dixit, A language pedagogy expert and teacher trainer and Mr. Ronak Pol, Project Lead, Central Square Foundation. CBSE Reading Mission involves participation of over 4,600. Overall attending the webinar was a good experience for all the attendees.
