TRIP TO SURSINGHDHAR; CLASS XI

G D Goenka Public School has always been keen on instilling good values and valuable skills even outside the curriculum. Keeping the above points in mind, a Leadership Camp for class XI was organised by the school to Sursinghdhar in the month of November., 2023.

The students of class XI, numbering 58 boarded the buses in the early morning hours of 17 November, reaching Sursinghdhar, district Tehri at around 4 pm. After freshing up and settling into their rooms, the students were taken for a night trek with only the moon and the stars to guide them.

The second day saw a slew of activities like rappelling, zip lining and absailing. Post lunch the students visited the Tehri Hydel Power Project, absorbing the details of its date of construction and importance in supplying power to the entire district.

The third and the last day had the students busy in treasure hunt activity with the help of clues.

The two evenings at the camp witnessed memorable evenings around bonfires, dancing and exchanging experiences. The clean pristine surroundings, snow-capped mountain ranges against the backdrop of azure skies, clear days and cold nights were enjoyed by all.

The students returned to Gurgaon by the evening of 19 November, 2023.
