TEACHER UPSKILLING PROGRAMMING – PYTHON

D.P.S, R.K.PURAM, NEW DELHI, under the able guidance of its Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal, conducted a workshop Teacher Upskilling Programme-Python on June 25, 2019 in the school premises.  The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Mukesh (HOD-Computer Science).  Approximately 150 teachers attended the workshop form leading Delhi NCR schools. Ms. Sunita Tokas, PGT-Computer Science represented her school, G.D Goenka Public School, sector 48, Gurugram.

Mr. Mukesh acquainted everyone with the basic knowledge required to install all the required softwares in an efficient manner, emphasizing at the same time, the important points to keep in mind during the process.

The workshop mainly focused on the new syllabus in Class XI and XII, Computer Science and IP which now includes Python, Numpy, Python Pandas and SQL. The workshop included discussion on subjects of installation of all the required soft wares and the depth of topics to be covered as per syllabus.

Mr. Mukesh who strongly believes in ‘Sharing is Caring’ equipped the audience with the knowledge and resources needed as per new curriculum. Using layman’s language, he demonstrated basic examples and errors of Python Programming.

The workshop left everyone fully cognizant of the outline and depth of topics to be covered in Computer Science and Informatics Practices.
