A TWO-DAY EXTRAVAGANZA OF SPORTSMANSHIP

G D Goenka Public School Sector 48 Gurugram recently celebrated its annual inter school sporting event - Sports Fiesta’2023 spanning two days of athleticism and sportsmanship. The event warmly welcomed 36 schools from across Delhi NCR, with around 2000 spirited students participating, followed by an enthusiastic greeting to the school's Principal and Headmistresses, who have been the driving force behind this initiative. The opening ceremony was a spectacle, featuring a soul-stirring song celebrating the spirit of India and a mesmerizing dance performance portraying themes of power, strength, and resilience.

An essential message about the environment was shared by Ms. Anuradha Handa, the founder Principal of the school. She emphasised the role of plants and nature in mitigating deteriorating weather conditions and pollution.

The event showcased a range of sports, including basketball, football, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, yoga, skating, and badminton. The closing ceremony was a tribute to dedication, unity, and environmental responsibility. It highlighted the school's commitment to holistic development and sportsmanship. The Sports Fiesta, with its two-day celebration, emphasized that excellence extends beyond sports, echoing values nurtured throughout the school community.
