SPECIAL ASSEMBLY – DUSSEHRA
(OCTOBER 12, 2021)
Keeping
the festive spirit alive, a special assembly on Dussehra was presented by the
energetic students of G D Goenka Public School, Gurgaon on 12th
October 2021 in the school auditorium in the presence of our respected
Principal Ma’am, our headmistress, teachers and students.
The
assembly showed the importance of Dussehra and kept the audience engrossed
throughout the presentation. It commenced with a meaningful thought of the day,
news and welcome address by the head boy and the head girl of the school
emphasizing that if we are able to overcome the evil within us, we can make the
society a better place to live in. This was followed by a soulful rendition of
the Ram Stuti and an empowering dance drama based on the epic battle Rama and
Ravana highlighting the moral good over evil. The teachings of Ramayana ring a
bell so relevant and true in every spheres across all ages. The hour long
assembly held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show
culminated.
The
school Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa, in her address to the audience,
congratulated the students and urged the young audience to awaken the energies
in their own selves, fight the inner demons which hinder the progress of self
and encouraged them to follow the path of truth.
The
assembly was appreciated by all and will definitely be remembered in the times
to come.
