SESSION - SELF EVALUATION EXERCISE; MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

(JULY 13 TO 17, 2020)

Intelligence has very different meanings and propositions in today’s time. Students were educated about multiple intelligences during their IDM session for the students of classes IX and X. Multiple Intelligences are heightened senses on which one operates and take sound decisions. Students were explained about the concept of multiple intelligences as given by Howard Gardner.

Students were helped to realise the uniqueness of each individual based on the intelligence type of that individual. An understanding of intelligence type helps adopt suitable learning strategies as well.

The session was followed up with an active engagement, where students had to identify their own intelligence type and the students completed the self evaluation questionnaire. This made them realise their strengths which they weren’t aware of.

They were guided about the career opportunities where each intelligence serves to be a strength. Students were encouraged to choose a career matching their intelligence type. An interesting discussion happened where students could themselves begin to correlate their strengths and the choice they can make.

The session was quite an eye opener for everyone who had attended.
