(MAY 22 TO 26, 2023)

Teachers play a vital role in imparting education and shaping the life of students. Empowering teachers means empowering them with right knowledge, skills, and competence that would enable them to meet the demanding and challenging needs of the ever-changing society. At GDGPS Sec 48, it is a continuous process where teachers gain lifelong experiences and engage in continuous professional development.

By placing heavy emphasis on the importance of empowering teachers, a weeklong training program was organized for the teachers of junior wing providing them with opportunities to learn, unlearn and relearn in order to deliver right knowledge and education to the children.

Headmistress Mrs Srishti Bajaj conducted the day wise sessions namely - 10 commandments of exceptional teaching, Importance of Montessori Activities, Maslow's Motivation Theory, Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Art of Story Telling and How to write Report Card Comments. The workshops comprised – presentations, projects/ assignments, video screening and discussions etc. The teachers were shown various informative modules and were engaged in a variety of group activities. The interactive sessions at the end of each workshop was the most cherished part of the workshop as the participant teachers shared their challenges, best practices and effective techniques with their peers.

The teachers were extremely impressed and excited by the topics of trainings and the initiative taken by the School. It was an enriching experience. All the participants were filled with new zeal to start working on the takeaways in their own spheres.
