PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENT & INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
(NOVEMBER 04 TO 21, 2024)
Selecting the right subjects for further study is one of the most important decisions in a student's academic journey. The "I Discover Me" program offers a comprehensive approach that includes psychometric assessments and individual counseling to support Grade X students in making this crucial choice.
The psychometric assessment, conducted as part of the program on October 28, 2024, is designed to evaluate students' aptitudes and interests through two key tests based on the RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) theory. These tests assess a range of abilities, including verbal, numerical, clerical, spatial, and reasoning aptitudes, offering a holistic understanding of each student's strengths. The results of these assessments are compiled into a detailed report, which includes an analysis of potential career paths aligned with the student's abilities and interests.
In addition to the psychometric tests, the program incorporates individual counseling sessions, which serve as a critical platform for students, parents, teachers, and school counselors to collaborate. During these sessions, the student’s assessment results are discussed in depth, and a personalized action plan is created. The involvement of all key stakeholders ensures that a well-rounded perspective is considered, addressing the student's academic performance, personal aspirations, and family expectations. This collaborative approach helps to clarify any concerns, align goals, and ensure that subject choices are in the best interest of the student’s future.
