PRATIBIMB VIRTUAL INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION

G D GOENKA Public School Sector hosted its first Virtual Inter-School Competition titled “PRATIBIMB’ 2020”  on August 29, 2020.  The school, under the able leadership of the Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Handa,  skillfully wove together  22 events planned for the children from Nursery to Class XII.  The school has always believed in giving equal importance to  art, culture and academics and has  gently nudged its students to discover their latent talents.

While the junior most participants had an array of events like Rhyme Recitation, Story Spinner, Rhythm Riders, Artistic Yoga, Poster Making, Shloka Gayan and Martial Arts, the middle school events were Country Music, E-Comic, Fusion of Emotions and Hindi Hasya Kavita and the senior school students participated  in Movie Making Competition- Inspiration From World Cinema, Historical Damascus, Science and Sports and Hindi Monologue.  There were 16 events which had to be pre-recorded and sent to the host school while 6 events were conducted live on August 29, 2020.This Inter School event had the widest participation from among the 39 schools of NCR/ Delhi region with close to 700 students.  The vast array of events saw some brilliant performance, exciting presentations and innovative techniques of communicating the thoughts on the virtual platform.

Ms. Handa, in her address in the Valedictory Function emphasized on the need of innovation, creativity and new approach to thinking in these trying times of COVID 19.  She also expressed her happiness at the sparkling creativity shown by the galaxy of promising participants. She thanked the principals of the participating schools , teachers and students for their participation which has contributed to the grand success of this online event. 

The vote of thanks, was delivered by the Headmistress of the Junior School, Mrs. Srishti Bajaj. The Valedictory Function saw the announcement of the results of all the 22 competitions along with Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurugram  adjudged as the overall winner.

The host school however, did not participate in the PRATIBIMB, ruling out any ideas of unfairness in the competition.
