Open Learning

OPEN LEARNING (OFFLINE) DAYS; NURSERY-II (SEPTEMBER 01 TO 11, 2021)

“The start of something new brings the hope of something great”

In an attempt to strike an ideal balance of teaching-learning in the virtual and the real world, Open Learning days were organised for the little learners of Primary Wing in the month of September, 2021 at the school campus. The special programme included activities that enhanced and broadened learning opportunities within and beyond the formal education system. It provided a learning platform that was beyond content delivery to focus on connectedness and learner engagement. A learning method based on open educational resources and activities such as treasure hunt/ how to read a map, simple experiments, obstacle course, colour search-tippy tippy tap, jigsaw puzzle, carry musical instruments (Poems/ songs with Shakers), board games, painting activity in the corridor, plantation, listen and draw/follow instructions, craft, paper planes, paper weaving, photo booth etc. were organised for the open learning days.

Learners visited the school in small groups following a staggered schedule following all preventive measures and covid protocols. The mentors guided everyone how to engage in fruitful offline activities to rejuvenate and re-energize the body and mind.

Headmistress Ms Srishti Bajaj interacted with parents and welcomed the little learners. She reiterated the fact that the road seemed long and the journey challenging, but our spirits remain high and undeterred. From reading to writing, observing to doing, listening to speaking, feeling to expressing, teachers and learners laughed together and conquered their fears of improbability and channelized their energy to evolving and progressing.
