ONLINE SESSION ON PROJECT TALEEM AIRED LIVE

A live streaming session of the inception and the journey of the Social Outreach Project that GDGPS undertook recently was held on 28 October 2020. The sensitively conceptualized and enthusiastically implemented school initiative to raise funds to buys tablets and phones that would provide the students of Vidya School access to online classes had been named Project Taleem, an Urdu word for Education.

The session was addressed by eminent personalities such as Mr Vari - Ex Principal Modern School, Vasant Vihar, Ms Ila Sarin - Principal of Vidya School, Captain KP Pallavi - Headmistress of Vidya School, Ms Rashmi Mishra - Chairperson of Vidya School, Ms Sarita Shahi - member of the Managing Committee at Vidya School.

Lakshay Gupta and Athena Mishra, the Community Outreach Council Heads thanked the school management, teachers and their fellow school mates for donating generously to such a noble cause and that too in such difficult COVID-19 pandemic times. Along with the Head Boy, Joy Mehta and Head Girl, Apoorva Sharma, they shared the brainstorming and strategy planning sessions conducted with their principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa and other heads to work out the practical modalities including cost-effectiveness of the proposed initiative.

The school principal, Ms.Anuradha Handa conveyed her deep pride at the efforts of the Goenkan team to come selflessly together to render actual and concrete help to the students. A few students of Vidya School spoke warm words of gratitude thanking the management, principal, staff and students of GDGPS for making a difference in their lives.   

In the vote of thanks, Ms. Shalini Tandon, Head Mistress of the Middle Wing also appreciated the special efforts of the entire Student Council to motivate the other students. She was full of praise of the ownership that they had assumed of the project from its ideation to implementation stage.
