We live in an age where things are discarded without a second thought, only for us to buy and accumulate more than what we often need. With the environmental crisis our world is facing, it's time to make an effort to change this. So, Goenkans took this forward using simple methods such as upcycling and recycling. These are simple but effective ways to understand the need of the hour - to make the best out of waste, and learn to reduce the waste generated in our homes and dumped in landfills.

Participants showed their creativity by using any kind of waste material to create something useful. Waste material in the form of tetra packs, plastic bottles, newspapers, jute material or any second-hand items that otherwise would be thrown away were used by the students to create helpful and easy-to-use yet ingenious products for providing aid to us in many aspects of our day-to-day lives. Participants were judged on the basis of creativity, utilisation of resources, artistic composition & design, eco-friendly rating, utility of the product and overall Presentation.

The competition aimed at encouraging students to display their creative acumen.
