INSIGHTFUL INTERACTION WITH A YOUNG SCHOLAR

(DECEMBER 30, 2020)

Direct interaction with a role model can have a deeper impact on the minds of young learners. Students of grades XI and XII had the opportunity to interact with a young scholar Mr Ayush Midha from University of California, San Francisco on 30th December. He is a Harward alumni and has a rich experience of research at such a young age. He has an impressive and varied portfolio including Academic achievements along with co-curricular activities and community outreach experience.

Students were able to easily connect with him and got motivated to aim for higher goals, for finding and staying committed to their true passion and for making the best use of their time. He provided a brief insight about his career path and then he answered the queries of young aspirants related to higher education.

Students got insight about the skill-set required to pursue a research-based career. The students asked questions related to college life, admission process, selection criterion, work-life balance, initial struggles for Indian students in US colleges etc. which were very patiently answered by Mr Ayush.

He encouraged students to get a concrete idea of their likings while planning for higher studies. He also recommended being open minded for new experiences and challenges and be flexible and ready to adapt to emerging situations on the way. Students also got their queries addressed satisfactorily on issues like college research, criterion for selecting a college, scholarship schemes etc.

School principal Ms Anuradha Handa shared that she was mesmerized with the engaging and fruitful interaction. The sincerity and depth of the interaction was indeed impressive. Students thanked the school for providing such an opportunity.
