IDM SESSION - CURTAIN RAISER SESSION 2021-22

(APRIL 24, 2021)

Under the able guidance of the School Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa, the launch of the IDM (I Discover Me) - Curtain Raiser Session 2021-22 was streamed live on 24 April, 2021, along with the school counsellor Dr. Dipti Yadav and the guest counsellor Ms. Charusheela Bajpai, for the students and parents of classes 9 & 10 of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram. IDM programme mainly focuses on career goals and subjects that the students can choose to take post their secondary education.

Think ahead, plan for the future - were the key words of the curtain raiser session. While addressing an enthusiastic audience, the School Principal stressed upon everyday discipline and targets which can lead to true happiness and satisfaction of reaching the right goal. From the identification of the subjects to creating a road map, creating value points for the choices made, scholarships, the value of the subjects in future were all discussed during the course of the session.

Ms. Charusheela Bajpai, career counsellor, gave information on when to start preparing for SAT, IELTS,  etc,  choices of the Universities, scholarships and the number of activities which the students could add up in their portfolio before actually beginning with the application processes.

The session was also attended by the IDM prefects of the past academic year, wherein they shared their experiences and the vast amount of help provided by the IDM sessions and wherein they could actually take informed decisions post their interactions with career counsellors, education fairs, university representatives which were all a part of the IDM programme.

The session ended with a vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon.
