IDM SESSION- CAREER IN MEDICAL AND LIFE SCIENCES

The career guidance program, I Discover Me (IDM) helps students to discover their true potential and compatibility with the prospective career options. To clear all doubts and confusions regarding various choices available, students are helped to identify a career path that aligns with their aspirations. To provide them a glimpse of the road ahead and get a feel of what life would be on that path, Guest speakers are invited who provide valuable insight about the profession.

Students of grade IX attended a session by Dr. Prerna Chanana on December 24th 2020 who shared her experiences into the field of Medical and Life Sciences. She is an accomplished doctor, an M.D (physician) from Bulgaria and has also completed her M.H.A from ICFAI university. Dr Prerna inspired the students as she has worked with multiple hospitals and have gained experience in multidisciplinary fields. Students were keen to know in detail about her extensive experience in hospital management and administration. Students got valuable guidance about the career path in Medical Sciences and Hospital administration. They were able to understand that this profession requires a great amount of commitment and passion for serving the mankind.

Students participated in the interactive session and discussed the impact 2020 had on Healthcare Professionals and their lives. She shared that patience and empathy are the important skills required for a healthcare professional. Students got encouraged to join this noble profession and got their queries addressed very patiently by Dr Prerna. It was indeed a fruitful session for young medical and life sciences aspirants.
