The workshop on Guidance and Counseling organized by CCA School on 26th November 2024 at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. A Holistic Perspective provided invaluable insights into the growing importance of guidance-based education in addressing the needs and challenges faced by post-millennial students. It emphasized the role of educators, counselors, and parents in fostering students' academic, emotional, and vocational development.

The session highlighted on the needs and problems of Post-Millennial Students. These students encounter challenges such as over-dependence on digital technology, Mental health issues like anxiety and stress, Career uncertainty and lack of direction and Social and emotional detachment. Guidance and counseling programs are crucial for providing support tailored to these issues. Guidance-based education integrates academic, personal, and vocational development by encouraging informed decision-making, Promoting holistic growth and Focusing on life skills and value-based learning.

Guidance is about assisting individuals in making informed choices and decisions in academic, personal, and career domains. The second half of the Workshop highlighted on Career Guidance giving more emphasis on Design Thinking. Discussed career paths in design, technology, and creative industries.

The workshop provided a comprehensive framework for organizing and administering a school guidance program. It emphasized the importance of integrating guidance-based education into school curricula and equipping educators and parents to support students holistically. By addressing the unique challenges of post-millennial students, schools can foster a generation of emotionally resilient and academically successful individuals.
