GALAXY EMPOWERED EDUCATOR’S SUMMIT

The Galaxy Empowered Educator’s Summit held at Hyatt Regency, Delhi, on Tuesday, 11 February 2025 was designed to transform education in India by empowering teachers, principals, and administrators in the education sector. The initiative was launched in the presence of legendary shooter and 2008 Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav Bindra. The program featured panel discussions on topics, ‘AI in education – pioneering the future of learning and leadership’ and ‘Technology and Education – Shaping tomorrow’s teachers and lifelong learners’. The discussions were facilitated by moderators Mr. Raju Dixit, VP Samsung Research Institute, Banglore and Mr. Amol Arora, MD Shemrock Group. Eminent personalities like Dr. Biswajit Saha (Director Skill Education, CBSE), Mr. Shishir Jaipuria (Chairman, Jaipuria Group of Education Institutes), Dr Amrita Bahl (Chief Education Officer, G D Goenka Group) etc. from education sector were the part of panel to discuss the trending topics.

The panel discussions led to enhancing teaching practices and creating technology-driven learning environments focussing on the following key points:

1. Introduction to AI in Education: introducing the concept of AI as a transformative force in education, emphasizing its role in personalizing learning experiences and addressing long-standing challenges.
2. Current State of AI in Education: The guests discussed the enhanced personalized learning experiences facilitated by intelligent tutoring systems and AI-powered educational assistants, along with advancements in automated grading and feedback systems.
3. Transforming Teaching Methods: Need to explore how AI can reshape teaching practices through adaptive learning platforms, intelligent content creation tools, and AI-assisted lesson planning, improving the overall learning experience.
4. Addressing Educational Challenges: Examining how AI addresses issues such as bridging the achievement gap, supporting students with special needs, overcoming language barriers, and enhancing accessibility in remote learning.
5. Ethical Considerations and Limitations: Discussions about the ethical implications and challenges associated with implementing AI in education, emphasizing the need for responsible use.

Post Lunch, a stand-up comedy session by Mr. Ashish Solanki swayed the huge crowd of educators with humorous and amusing incidents. The break-out sessions highlighted the importance of experiential learning in young minds.

Overall the summit reflected on the transformative potential of AI in education and its ability to create more effective, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.
