FIRST AID TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR SUPPORT STAFF

A training programme on First aid was organized at G D Goenka Public School Sec-48 Gurugram on April 15, 2023 for the support staff, separately for males and females. Around 220 members of support staff including the drivers, conductors, nannies, office boys and housekeeping staff, took part in the programme. The training programme was conducted by the school Nurse Reena Thapa under the supervision of the school doctor, Dr. Abha Bansal.

The programme focussed on minor  ailments and injuries especially those concurring children in school hours. The ailments and injuries discussed during the session were first aid given in case of minor cuts, injuries, how to perform CPR, nose bleed, heat stroke, being unconscious, headache, burns, seizures and asthma. The Programme consists a series of simple and potentially lifesaving techniques that an individual can be trained to perform with minimal equipment.
