DISTRICT SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP OF GURUGRAM

(JUNE 16 & 17, 2023)

G D Goenka Public School Sector 48 Gurugram hosted the District level Swimming Competition on June 16 & June 17, 2023. Members from the Haryana Swimming Association (affiliated to Haryana Olympic Association And Swimming Federation of India) conducted the two day event hosted by GDGPS 48, Gurugram.

Mr Naveen Goyal, Mr Rohit Singh, along with officials and several coaches were present on both days and presided over the function to motivate participants. Mr Naresh Kumar, Joint Commissioner MCG was the chief guest for the inauguration ceremony. He motivated students to participate enthusiastically and to give their best. Mr Anil Khatri, Indian Olympic Association and Haryana Swimming was the chief guest for the closing ceremony.

Goenkans of GDGPS, Sector 48  participated with great enthusiasm in this energy packed two day district level event. Garv Yadav of class V, Srisha Ahuja of class II won gold medals.Both of them along with Shanaya Birla of class II have qualified for state level event to be held from June 29 to July 2, 2023 at HL city, Bahadurgarh.

The GDGPS 48 team was highly appreciated for hosting the district level event by the Chief guests, Guests of Honour and all the Officials from the Haryana Swimming Association . The GDGPS management and school team was also recognized and appreciated by all participants, parents and guests.

Ms Shalini Tandon , Headmistress GDGPS 48 , felicitated the guests on behalf of the school management. During her address, she applauded the efforts of all the participants, thanked the Haryana Swimming Association  and expressed her gratitude to the School Principal, Ms Anuradha Handa, the School Management, and appreciated the efforts made by the school team.

Heartiest congratulates to all the winners of the swimming event and wishing them best of luck for the state level event to be held at the end of the month at Bahadurgarh.
