DISASTER MANAGEMENT FOR TEACHERS

A workshop on disaster management was organized on 5th July, 2025 at GD Goenka Public School Sector-48, Gurugram to familiarize teachers with the necessary precautions to be taken in case of emergencies. The session aimed to ensure preparedness among the school staff to handle crisis situations effectively and responsibly.

The session began with a round of questions on general awareness about safety protocol. Teachers were clued in on various precautionary measures to be taken in case of an emergency especially related to a fire outbreak in the building. 

A short informational video was also shown on ways an unconscious person can be moved out of a building on fire. Other precautionary measures, like avoiding elevators and escalators in time of fire and areas one should move to in such emergencies were also discussed.

Overall, the workshop was highly informative and successful in equipping the teaching staff with practical knowledge and confidence to respond efficiently during emergencies. Such training sessions play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students and staff and maintaining a culture of preparedness within the school environment.
