COUNSELORS’ RETREAT 2023

The Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) organized a Counselors' Retreat with a specific focus on emphasizing the significance of the hospitality sector for the future. The retreat aimed to enlighten counselors from various educational institutions about the growing importance of the hospitality industry and its vast potential in shaping the careers of future professionals. The primary objective of the Counselors' Retreat was to underscore the pivotal role of the hospitality sector in the global economy and to equip counselors with insights and knowledge to guide students towards promising career paths within this dynamic field.

Session started with the Inaugural Note from the Co-Founder Kunal Vasudeva where he highlights the economic, social, and cultural significance of the hospitality sector. Next in line speakers were Dean of Hospitality & Culinary Arts where they shared their perspectives on the industry's growth, job opportunities, and its critical role in global business and tourism. Chief Admission Officer Ms. Sweety Sethi was co-ordinating the whole event and oriented the counselor about the Sommet education and all the partners like; Glion, Les Roches, Ecole Ducasse and Indian School of Hospitality.

After the knowledge fill inaugural session, a campus tour was organized followed by small group workshops. During those workshops counselors and representatives from colleges & schools had experience working in different departments through some hands-on activities. We also get a chance to interact with a few students of the current batch of Hospitality management & culinary arts and a few alumni of the school who are currently working with prestigious companies from various sectors.

The Counselors' Retreat organized by the Indian School of Hospitality successfully highlighted the significance of the hospitality sector for the future. By providing counselors with valuable insights, practical knowledge, and networking opportunities, the retreat aimed to empower them to guide students effectively in choosing and pursuing careers in the dynamic and growing field of hospitality. The Indian School of Hospitality remains dedicated to fostering awareness and understanding of the industry's potential among counselors, ensuring that they play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce in the hospitality sector.
