COEP 2023; SENIOR WING

COEP (Centre of Excellence Program) strives forward to arm the Goenkans with knowledge and life skills.  During the program, engaging sessions / programs were planned for the students from May 29 to June 02, 2023.

To carry forward the tradition of imparting sustainable life skills through COEP, a day was dedicated to the Goenkans towards Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness Workshops. The students were given a hands-on and field experience on the different kinds of disasters, their aftermaths along with ways and means to tackle the hazardous situations calmly and intelligently. Experts from Pinaka Security and Allied Services Pvt. Ltd. gave a live demonstration of a fire drill and encouraged the students to not only function a fire extinguisher under supervision but also provided valuable knowledge about the geographical impact, relevance, importance of safety drills, methods of evacuation etc. This dynamic day of COEP was culminated with a thoughtfully designed Disaster Management Reflection Worksheet wherein the students summed up their experience of the learnings of the day.

Another engaging Driving Excellence Session was conducted as a day long workshop for the students. This session provided an opportunity to the students to know the transport incharge and staff from close quaters and not only understand, but appreciate their working. The staff was felicitated along with the medical team of the school, who guided the students on the importance of first-aid kits and safety rules. The students were given hands-on knowledge of the importance of records and functional protocols to be adhered to in the transport department and were also given a field tour to emphasize upon the same. The students, who had assembled first-aid kits for the buses, donated the same to each bus and acknowledged their support. The session was brought to a fruitful closure by the attempting of a reflection sheet wherein the students summed up their observations of the day.
