CBSE WEBINAR – SUPERVISION SKILLS ON MIDDLE MANAGEMENT

Education  is seen as the corner stone of development. It forms the basis for literacy, skills acquisition, technological advancement as well as the ability to harness the natural resources of the environment for development. To be able to actualize this, the school organization must be properly managed.  Keeping this in mind an online session on Supervision skills on middle management was organised by the COE Delhi (East) on January 27, 2021 through Google Meet. The resource person was Ms Anuradha Handa, Principal of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurgaon. The session was attended by educators and teachers from across all schools of Delhi and NCR. 

Ms Handa spoke eloquently on the role of middle management, is to understand, interpret, communicate and model the vision of the organisation. She talked about the effective planning, implementation of the school pedagogical plan by converting one’s vision of learning teaching process in the classroom to action.She emphasised on listening to the team members and being compassionate about their problems whether it is personal or work-related, gives the employees the chance to trust the organisation.

She talked about enhancement of self through problem solving and decision making. She emphasised on developing teacher’s capability by designing and planning curriculum, providing scientific tools for data collection, training to enhance skills and instilling sense of collective ownership.She encouraged listeners to use skill will matrix to assess an individual’s skill level to perform a specific task to achieve the desired result. Ms Handa exhorted her audience to be SMART -Specific, Measurable, Attainable, relevant and Timebound.

The session was informative and interactive with lively interactions between the resource person and the attendees.
