CBSE WEBINAR – MAGIC OF GRATITIDE

(JANUARY 27, 2021)

“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.”

An online session on MAGIC OF GRATITUDE was organised by the COE Delhi (East) on 27 January 2021 through Google Meet. The resource person was Ms Anuradha Handa, Principal of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurgaon. The session was attended by educators and teachers from across all schools of Delhi and NCR.

Ms Handa took a workshop to articulate and celebrate how gratitude practices enrich our well-being and lend power and momentum to personal growth. She spoke at length about emotion, a strong feeling that moves us. The experience makes us live not just exist. It transforms our life from a series of plain tasteless events and facts into living-breathing experience. She solicited to notice the day-to-day world from a point of gratitude and be amazed at all the goodness that we take for granted. She asked to vow, not to complain, criticise or gossip for a week and if one slips, rally on willpower and keep going. Notice how much energy was being spent on negative thoughts.

She emphasised on maintaining a gratitude journal and penning down one or two things one can be grateful for on a daily basis. She said if one identifies something or someone with negative thoughts switch it in the mind to positive thoughts.  Ms Handa exhorted her audience to embark on a transformational gratitude quest of their choice

The session was informative and interactive with lively interactions between the resource person and the attendees.
