CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP –BUSINESS STUDIES

(NOVEMBER 15 & 16, 2019)

A two day capacity building workshop was conducted by CBSE on 15&16 November 2019 at Ridge Valley School, Gurgaon. The resource person was Ms.Mamta Narula who is a teacher with DPS vasant kunj. She has a rich experience in the field of education and is associated with NCERT and SCERT as a resource person. She has been conducting Financial Literacy workshops with SEBI also. The workshop was attended by 30 teachers from NCR.

The two days were completely packed with instructions, addition and deletions from syllabus, hands on activities and some fun games too.

On the day1, after an interesting ice breaking session, we were updated about the added/ deleted topics. We were given handouts with all the changes for keeping as reference. Later various techniques for teaching Business Studies were shared where all teachers shared the topics they find difficult to teach and others have suggestions how to make it easy.

The day 2 started with sharing of project guidelines and teachers in small groups, presented one project each. This was helpful and a lot of queries were solved through discussion. We discussed a sample paper and paper making techniques. Later the various emerging career options in the field of commerce were shared.

Overall it was a very enriching and informative workshop.
