BLESSING CEREMONY - CLASS XII

(JULY 24, 2021)

Graduation from school is an exciting time – it is both an ending and a beginning. It is warm memories of the past and big dreams of the future. GDGPS Sector 48 organised the Blessings Ceremony for students of the outgoing batch of 2020-21 on 24 July, 2021 even though the ongoing pandemic severely curtailed the traditional ceremonies.

Showers of blessings, fond wishes, nostalgic moments and expressions of gratitude were the special ingredients that made up Blessing Ceremony held for Grade XII in GDGPS, Sec 48 on 24 July 2021. The students of Grade XII were warmly welcomed by their class teachers in the reception foyer. The function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa along with the Headmistress of VI to XII, Ms Shalini Tandon. As students entered, they bowed in obeisance to the Almighty. After this, each student was greeted by the Principal, Ms Handa and gifted with a specially crafted memento as well as their class photograph.

Nostalgia engulfed the out-going batch when they walked through the beautifully decorated corridors bedecked with adieu and au revoir messages prepared by the Art Department. Photographs were taken to preserve the happy memories. After spending a while at the Dance Studio with all covid protocols in place, the students wrote their heartfelt messages on the Graffiti Wall before leaving with smiling faces, having been blessed by the Principal and all teachers present.
