BASICS OF FINANCIAL AND RETIREMENT PLANNING

CBSE has taken an initiative to sensitize teachers across the country on basics of Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools that are relevant in the current scenario. In this regard, a two hour session was conducted in G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram on 1st August, 2022. The session was attended by teachers from neighbouring schools as well.

The session started with the felicitation of the CBSE resource person, Mr. Ram Kumar Gupta. The workshop educated the attendees about various investment options and the criterion to make sound investment. Mr. Gupta spoke about financial options such as equity shares, mutual funds, bonds, fixed deposits and a host of related topics. The session also created awareness about basic financial planning, how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds, do’s and don'ts of digital payment, etc.

The workshop in a nutshell was comprehensive, informative and interesting in nature and was greatly appreciated by all the attendees. This will surely help educators stay updated and plan their future in a better way.
