ASSEMBLY - WINNERS NEVER QUIT

Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain,

Laughter and pleasure, teardrops and pain,

All days can’t be bright, but it’s certainly true, 

There was never a cloud the sun didn’t shine through. 

Difficulties in life need to be met with as much grace as you can muster. During such tough times, some people quit in between, but some fight till the end and become winners. Winners keep moving and never stop growing. They turn every adversity into an opportunity. The responsible and the determined Goenkans of Grade IV came together to present the morning assembly on the theme 'Winners Never Quit' on Friday, July 09, 2021.

If you kick start your day with a beautiful prayer and a positive thought, it gives you encouragement and inspiration to step forward positively in your life. The prayer and the inspirational thoughts shared by our Goenkans were great for reflection! Vince Lombardi, a famous American football coach, once said, “Winners never quit and the quitter never wins”. A winner is someone who is determined to reach his goals, no matter how difficult the journey may be. On the other hand, a quitter gets worried by challenges, and gives up. The little champs depicted this thought through the role plays of some famous personalities who did not quit and became winners. In spite of so many initial hiccups, they did not lose hope.  They never gave up pursuing their dreams and interests just because some of their experiments failed. 

All of us are born with some talent and skills but the ones who strived hard to reach their goals and only rested when success touched their feet become the winners.  An inspiring poem based on the same by a little Goenkan reminded us of our school motto - Higher, Stronger, Brighter which motivates all the Goenkans to keep striving for the best, no matter how challenging the task at hand may be. 

Ms. Srishti Bajaj; the Primary Wing In charge appreciated the efforts of the whole team for coming up with such a beautiful assembly. Further, she encouraged everyone to move on with soaring spirits, taught us to be resilient and be a go-getter despite all odds. We must aim to be the best version of ourselves and turn every problem into an opportunity. Remember!  The Key to Winning is to NEVER GIVE UP.
