ASSEMBLY- RISE BEYOND APPEARANCES

G D Goenka Public School Sector 48, Gurugram has always believed in imparting values through activities done in the school by the students.  This idea is amplified and showcased through assemblies as well.

Class XI-D presented an assembly ‘Rise Beyond Appearances’ on November 27, 2020. The assembly started with the prayer, followed by counseling advice given by the school counselor, Mrs. Dipti Yadav, wherein she stressed on the importance of maintaining a schedule for the upcoming examinations and urged the students to show academic integrity while answering the questions of the test.

She also stressed on the fact of maintaining good health, regular sleep pattern and healthy choice of food along with sufficient intake of water. The assembly portrayed the gender stereotypes created by the society showing the boys showing their cooking skills to doing the household chores and the girls exercising in the gym and leading a life of their choice.  The students spoke of self worth, beauty, intellect and the dignity of labour where there is no gender bias.  The song by one of the students added to the flavour of the theme of the assembly.

The assembly which was short and crisp, was appreciated by all the students and teachers a like.
