ASSEMBLY - MENTAL HEALTH
(JULY 22, 2020)
Mental Health is the key to any aspect of the society and acceptance of change is the only solution to the fast changing, dynamic scenario around .
This thought is more pertinent for the young pre-teens and teenagers of today whose world has been suddenly curtailed, confined and contained because of the pandemic. Loss of human contact and restrictions on socializing have put a heavy strain on the minds of these teenagers. Mental Happiness and Health are the magical talismen in this case. The assembly presented by Grade XII resonated with this golden percept.
The assembly began with a heartfelt prayer to the God Almighty, followed by the national and international news. The presenters, Arya Agarwal and Athena Mishra of XIIA, added their own bit of insights and information on the topics, making the show livelier. A self-composed song by the Grade XII students enlivened the show when it was presented live. The mature and perceptive talk time revealed how well our school children have adapted to the Change brought in the wake of the pandemic and accepted the New Normal. The delightful dance that followed upped the happiness quotient. The last segment of the assembly was devoted to the highlights of the SPORTS CONFERENCE and the amazing work done by all the teams and their mentor teachers.
Ms. Anuradha Handa, the school Principal acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the students in adjusting and making the most of the changed circumstances. She further applauded the efforts of class XII children for taking up such a relevant theme for the present times.
