ASSEMBLY- JOY OF GIVING AND SPREADING HAPPINESS

“Sharing happiness in the world with everyone gives you the greatest joy”.
“A smile on your face and beauty in your heart spreads joy to the world. It is easier to find your own happiness when you give others the - Joy of happiness.” With this thought the students of class IV D presented a mesmerizing assembly on “Joy of giving and spreading happiness.”
Prayers have a power of creating a pious atmosphere that helps instill certain values such as humility and discipline. To start the day with the blessings from almighty, the assembly began with a beautiful prayer. The students shared an inspirational thought related to the topic and the Goenkan reporters updated everyone in a very creative way about the latest happenings around the world and in GDGPS through their news channel “GOENKAN NEST”.
The assembly presentation started with quotes on happiness and how it is important to not only receive happiness but also spread it all around. Finding the actual reasons which makes one happy and one such reason are the festivals. Moving ahead students shared the significance of Christmas which was highlighted through an enactment on the story of Nativity. The students were thrilled to participate and were enthusiastic to answer every question that was put across. The assembly was fueled with enthusiasm of students as they sang and danced to the tunes of foot tapping song and carol which made the audience sway to the music.
The assembly was well summarized by students conducting a reflective question on imagining themselves as Santa's and what they can do to spread happiness around them. The assembly was well concluded with the students dancing on joyful Christmas carols with Santa as the secret element at the end followed by the school and national anthem sung with great pride and fulfillment.
The assembly instilled a happy and joyful environment. It left us with a thought that one needs to stay happy and share it with others all around and understand the real meaning of happiness is in sharing and giving.
