ASSEMBLY- INVEST IN OUR PLANET

The students of class X-A & X-D of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram presented an assembly on May 04, 2023.  The theme of the assembly was the protection of our Earth and proper utilization of the resources and aptly titled as “INVEST IN OUR PLANET”.

The assembly started with a soulful prayer, followed by recitation of an unpublished original poem by a student of class X - Saheb Kaur.  The dance performance also highlighted the mounting problems. The theatre act thoroughly depicted the  degradation of the Earth because of the callous attitude of man.  The use, wastage and the constant digging away into its resources - all these activities are bringing an alarming change in the day-to-day working of the planet, with the climate change being the most visible and threatening change.  The children also utilized the opportunity to provide solutions, like carpooling, carrying cloth bags while shopping, using bicycles / walking for shorter distances, proper waste disposal etc. 

The school Principal in her closure address, lauded the efforts put up by the students, and the Headmistress appreciated the innovative ideas given for solutions to the problem.
