ASSEMBLY - HAPPINESS

(22 DECEMBER, 2020)

“The best and the most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard,

but must be felt with the heart.”

Love and happiness are complementary, you cannot have one without the other and you get the best of them together.  Happiness helps in our physical, mental and spiritual growth, A good way to get happiness is to spread happiness as much as you can. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Happiness is when: what you think, what you say and what you are; are in harmony”. Harmony is a beautiful balance between mind, body and soul.  When we achieve this balance, we are at peace and our Life blossoms. The students of classes 3 D, G and I  – the peace ambassadors of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram took us to a journey from happiness to harmony through a beautiful assembly.

The quest of happiness has been the dynamic factor in the course of evolutionary history. The great sages of India chanted the mantra and its echoes have reverberated across the globe. Keeping this in mind, the little yet ethical Goenkans started their assembly with Upnishad Shloka –

The principle of happiness, love and harmony is beautifully described in our vedas. Children shared different ways by which they can bring harmony in nature and save mother Earth. They also emphasized on India’s strength lies in its communal and cultural harmony. They depicted the culture of 17 Indian states through their poem and dance. An amazing skit, on how simple things give us huge happiness; left everyone in awe.

The assembly was attended by the Headmistress of the Middle Wing, Ms. Shalini Tandon. She showered all her love and blessings abundantly on the little stars of the Middle Wing and congratulated them for an amazing assembly put up by them.
