ASSEMBLY- ‘BEING A TRUE CITIZEN’

(OCTOBER 12, 2023)

India is a treasure trove of knowledge, wisdom, and heritage from ancient India. From kings to kingdoms, town planning to artistry, scholars to astronomers, the list of India's rich past goes on and on. A true citizen is honest in word and deed. He is always truthful. He seeks his good in the good of all. Citizens have responsibilities towards society. A good society would be that which has true citizens.

With this thought in their minds the students of class V D presented an enriching assembly on the topic- ‘Being A True Citizen’. Prayer is the opening of the heart to God. To start the day with the blessings from almighty the assembly began with a prayer thanking God and seeking blessings in their lives. Thereafter, the Goenkan reporters updated everyone about the latest happenings in and around the world. Students shared the positive affirmations to instill the thought of being a true citizens.

The highlight of the assembly was Nukkad Natak and from the same as a quick recap they all got to know that every citizen has responsibilities towards society. A good society would be that which has true citizens.  After that students pledged to be a citizen that is good, that helps around in the neighborhood because they always follow the rules and do what is right - caring about others in every way possible.

The assembly culminated with a dance performance and Headmistress Shalini ma'am's address to the assembly. The presentation infused great power and confidence in the audience. Taking great pride in their school and country the Goenkans of class 5 sang the school anthem and the national anthem.
