‘A tree’s beauty lies in its branches, but the strength lies in its roots.’

The students of class VI C of G D Goenka Public School Sector 48, Gurugram presented an enriching assembly on the topic- ‘Strengthening Our Roots’ on November 13, 2024.

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God. By taking blessings from the almighty, the assembly began with a prayer song. Students shared the positive affirmations in English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French to instill the importance of our age old-values. Thereafter, the creative Goenkan reporters presented the news in a unique way creating a News Studio and updated everyone about the latest happenings in and around the world.

The students represented the rich culture, our traditions, values and their importance through an enactment depicting our strong roots. Students also displayed the importance of Yoga and meditation by performing it. Students were asked questions about various customs we practice to make them understand the significance. A beautiful dance was performed to depict our rich culture. The message of the theme was conveyed through an inspirational poem in Hindi.

To further enlighten the students, Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon addressed them and emphasized on the need to strengthen our roots through various examples. Every student participated in the assembly with full enthusiasm which was clearly evident through the presentation.
