ASSEMBLY- DISCOVERING PASSION AND PURSUING EXCELLENCE

“Passion sparks the journey; excellence shapes the path.”

The students of class VI E of G D Goenka Public School Sector 48, Gurugram presented a powerful and thought-provoking assembly on May 15, 2025. It was a vibrant and heartfelt tribute to the theme “Discovering Passion and Pursuing Excellence.” With great enthusiasm, the students explored how recognizing one’s inner spark and nurturing it with dedication can lead to success.

The morning began with a warm welcome, setting the stage for an introspective and inspiring journey. The prayer, led by the music choir group, created a spiritual ambiance, invoking divine blessings and helping everyone start the day with serenity and positivity. This was followed by positive affirmations like “I am strong, I am happy, I am enough”—powerful reminders of inner strength and self-worth. The Thoughts for the Day in four languages—English, Hindi, French, and Sanskrit—further reinforced the message of the assembly. Adding a vintage flair, the 6 E Samachar segment took everyone on a nostalgic journey with news reports styled in the classic Doordarshan format. The highlight of the assembly was the thought-provoking skit titled “The Compass Within.” This original performance followed the journey of several students as they discovered their individual passions through a magical object called the Passion Compass. In a beautiful and poetic “Mirror Moment,” students held up the metaphorical mirror to reflect on their personal growth and self-improvement, reinforcing the message that excellence is a journey that begins within. The energy of the assembly reached a new height with the interactive radio-style quiz show—“The Passion to Excellence Show – Live On Air!” To top it all, the audience was treated to a breathtaking dance performance.

The assembly concluded with a heartfelt poem in Hindi encouraging all the students to discover their passions and work with dedication towards excellence. Finally, words of appreciation and wisdom from Headmistress Shalini Ma’am, left a lasting impact, motivating everyone to strive to be better than yesterday.
