ACTIVITIES FOR GROSS AND FINE MOTOR DEVELOPMENT
(APRIL 17, 2025)
A virtual training session on activities for gross and fine motor development was organized for early childhood educators. The session focused on understanding the importance of motor skills in young children’s growth and learning. Trainers demonstrated age-appropriate activities that promote balance, coordination, grip, and hand-eye coordination.
Gross motor activities included jumping, crawling, and stretching exercises, while fine motor tasks involved drawing, threading, and clay modeling. Emphasis was placed on using simple, safe, and easily available materials at home. The training equipped teachers with creative strategies to engage children in physical development even in a virtual setting, ensuring holistic early childhood development.
