ACER WORKSHOP ON EXPLORING OPEN LEARNING RESOURCES FOR IMPROVING BLENDED TEACHING AND LEARNING

An extensive professional training workshop was conducted on June 6, 2022 by ACER; Australian Council for Educational Research for exploring Open Educational Resources (OER) at G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram. The day long workshop was attended by Junior, Middle, and Senior School teachers. The workshop was conducted by Dr Garima Bansal, Research Fellow, ACER India.

The use of open learning resources has become more relevant today. The ACER workshop gave an insight on the high quality OER repositories available in the public domain and discussed the key principles of OER curation, online tools and technologies for OER curation and the copyright issues involved in using, modifying, and adapting OER. The entire workshop was divided into 4 sessions where different national and international e-learning platforms were discussed and the attendees were asked to explore the various apps and websites and create a single platform to collect all resources with an added advantage of collaborative learning.

Overall, the workshop was engaging and informative with enriching content. The vote of thanks was proposed by our honourable School Principal Ms. Anuradha Handa and Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon.
