ACER WORKSHOP FOR ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

An extensive professional training workshop was conducted on June 02, 2022 by ACER; Australian Council for Educational Research for the Math and English Department of G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Gurugram.

The workshop gave an insight about the ACER’s Online Assessment and Reporting System (OARS) and International Benchmark Test (IBT) that supports the delivery of a range of on-demand school assessments, surveys and resources. The assessment program helps to compare students’ academic profile in different subjects at school, national and global levels. It allows individual as well as group progress to be tracked against international standards in English, Mathematics and Reasoning. The interactive session of two hours acquainted the teachers about the technical specifications required to administer the assessments via OARS, and a number of simple troubleshooting steps to resolve some common issues.

The workshop in a nutshell was comprehensive, informative and interesting in nature and was greatly appreciated by all the attendees. The vote of thanks was proposed by our honourable School Headmistress, Ms. Shalini Tandon.
