3 DAY WORKSHOP AT GDGPS, VASANT KUNJ

(JUNE 21 TO 23, 2023)

The 3-day workshop started with the first session of Integrated Approach in the classroom where the resource person - Ms. Meenakshi Khetrapal began her session with an energiser and then engaged the teachers by dividing them into groups, the task was to introduce the teachers in the group using a story, a rhyme or a role play. Some uncommon shapes were given to each group to use in the classroom for teaching learning. The session concluded with the task of resolving the case study of different classroom situations commonly faced by teachers.

The other topics covered during the workshop and the resource persons were:

·      Developing Reading comprehension & creative writing skills in Literature and Poetry (English) - Ms. Meena Khanna 

·      EVS the Montessori Way - Ms. Shruti Handa Bhattacharya

·      Reading Readiness that included Essentials of reading, Factors affecting reading and Reading readiness skills - Dr. N. Madhuri Parti

·      Building Language the Montessori Way - Ms. Shruti Handa Bhattacharya

·      What is Storytelling that included Story telling method, how to become story teller and what stories can teach us - Ms. Dhwani Vij 

Overall it was an enriching and good learning experience for the participants.
