INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024 -25

Preparing the enterprising Goenkans for leadership roles, the school organized Investiture Ceremony on 15th May 2024, witnessed by parents and students of the school. The ceremony was organized to celebrate the formation of G D Goenka Student Council 2024-25, declaring positions with their roles and responsibilities after the rigorous rounds starting from filling the student council forms consisting of the expression of interest and co-scholastic participation details, group discussion round, the presentation round and finally interview round with the school Principal. The final culmination of the minutely crafted design of the process for the selection of Student Council saw its culmination in the form of a grand Investiture Ceremony, where the proud members of the Student Council 24-25, took the stage, put their best foot forward and took an oath to be true to their assigned duties.
The ceremony commenced with the lamp lighting and a song presented by school choir. The elected leaders were conferred with badges by honorable Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa and Senior Wing Headmistress Ms. Shikha Sharma followed by the Oath taking ceremony which meant formal investing of a person with authority, power, and dignity and reminds of the trust and confidence that the school repose in its newly elected student council members. The Principal congratulated the newly elected council members. She advised them to be role models for their juniors and work for the benefits of the students. They were motivated further to live up the school motto of –Higher, Brighter and Stronger.
The Head Boy, Kavish Jindal, the Head girl-Trisha Gupta and the President student council-Arnav Goel, delivered a heartfelt speech to the audience. The event concluded with vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
