IDM SESSION-HOW TO WRITE SOPs

An important IDM session was held for class XII on 6 August , 2024, under the guidance of the school Principal, Ms. Anuradha Handa.

The session was introduced by Ms. Rohini Mishra, Career Counsellor of the school.  It was followed by a short presentation by the Principal, who made the students understand the importance of the admission processes, the criteria and how to customize the Statement of Purpose required by the universities, both in India and abroad. 

The spokespersons, Ms. Devyani, Ms. Swati and Ms. Manpreet from High school Moms, effectively conveyed the importance of the SOP, providing useful hints and information on how to write the essay and the points that the students should specifically include to ease their process of admission.  They also reminded the students to read about the universities, their curriculum and co-curricular activities, the academic scores required, the fees structure etc., so that the students can introspect and see whether they can fit in to the criteria of the respective university.  In addition, the students were distributed into groups to brainstorm on a particular topic of the SOP, gather information and present it. 

The session provided the students with valuable insights into the writing process of the SOPs - an essential part of the admission process of the universities.
