HOW TO MEASURE UNDERSTANDING

The workshop – How to Measure Understanding, organised by ACER team, primarily focused on the ways to test the understanding levels of the students conducted by the resource person – Ms. Zulekha Lakhani.  The approach of testing was to be an informal way of testing, moving away from the traditional approach, to check if the students could answer even the competency based questions.

 

The various ways of testing were - a) open ended questions b) graphic organiser  c) T- Charts   d) finding concept based questions and clarifying them e) reflection time to interpret , self-assess and  shift in perspectives. The session was interactive with the teacher participants voicing their apprehensions and sharing the techniques used by them in the classroom sessions.
