WELCOME ASSEMBLY, SEEDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
(APRIL 03, 2025)
The Foundational Years at GDGPS, Sec 48 commenced the new academic session with a heartwarming Welcome Assembly, conducted by the teachers on April 3, 2025. The purpose of this special assembly was to extend a warm welcome to the young learners and to present a model assembly that would serve as a reference for students as they prepare to lead future assemblies.
The theme of the assembly, ‘Courage: Seeds of Encouragement’, was beautifully depicted through an engaging and thought-provoking presentation. A story was enacted showcasing the journey of two plants—one placed indoors and the other outdoors. While the indoor plant remained protected, it did not thrive due to the lack of essential challenges. In contrast, the outdoor plant, despite facing difficulties like strong winds and harsh sunlight, grew into a strong and flourishing tree. This narrative effectively illustrated the significance of challenges in shaping resilience and strength in life, inspiring children to embrace difficulties with courage and a positive spirit.
The assembly featured an energetic dance performance, an inspiring message, and a skit by the teachers, all emphasizing the theme of courage and personal growth. The event was graced by our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Anuradha Handa, who addressed the students with words of encouragement, motivating them to develop resilience and determination in their learning journey.
The assembly concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and respect among the young learners.
This model assembly not only set the tone for the year ahead but also provided a meaningful learning experience for students, equipping them with the confidence and inspiration to conduct future assemblies in a similar manner. The session truly reinforced the message that challenges are stepping stones to success, encouraging every child to grow stronger, just like the resilient plant in the story.
