The Republic Day celebrations at G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, were a grand tribute to the spirit of unity, diversity, and national pride. With the theme Swarnim Bharat - Virasat aur Vikas (Golden India - Heritage and Development), the event encapsulated the essence of India's rich cultural heritage and its unwavering commitment to progress.
The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting by the esteemed Principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, resonating a deep sense of patriotism among all present. The soulful rendition of a patriotic song further elevated the fervor, reminding everyone of their love and respect for the motherland.
The significance of Republic Day was eloquently conveyed through heartfelt speeches by students, emphasizing the core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Thought-provoking Hindi verses captured the spirit of unity and progress, reflecting the values that guide the school's vision of nurturing responsible and conscientious citizens.
A vibrant dance performance brought the celebrations to life, beautifully illustrating the nation's journey through expressive choreography and stirring music. The performance encapsulated the joy of freedom and the collective responsibility of shaping a better future for India.
Adding to the celebration, the school proudly recognized the achievements of its students beyond academics. Budding author Sufi Tiwari from Grade VIII-G presented her book How My Eyes Perceive, which delves into the complexities of human emotions, showcasing the school's encouragement of creativity and expression.
In alignment with the school's unwavering commitment to social responsibility, the Samanvay Social Outreach Program was highlighted during the event. The Goenkans enthusiastically participated in a donation drive supporting the Earth Saviours Foundation, contributing essential food items to help those in need. This initiative underscored the school's vision of fostering compassion and community service among students.
